As stipulated in section 4.2 of the University Charter, the duties of Charles Mugasha as the University Secretary are as follows:

• To ensure the effective operation and admnistration of the University;

• To ensure the implementation of Institutional policies, procedures and bylaws;
• To supervise the work of all members of staff in their different departments;
• To meet regularly with the Student Cabinet;
• To report directly to the Vice Chancellor.
